Orkney Mainland.

Yesnaby is, so far, the most explored and developed area of coast in Orkney. The sandstone cliffs around Yesnaby Castle have some excellent routes on perfect sandstone from Diff. to E5. The bulk of the routes in the HVS/E2 range.

Dearness is a newly developed location on the North East coast of the Mainland. There are, so far, 20 quality routes on immaculate black rock in the V. Diff to E1/2 range.

Roseness is a nice wee place for a summer evening's cragging. The cliff height is about 14 metres and the base is non tidal. The routes are in the Mod to E3ish range.

Tomb of the Eagles is a non tidal crag but is prone to poor conditions with easterly seas running. With routes in the V.Diff to VS range with, so far, 2 token E1's.
